Rikei Corporation (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Katsuei Aoyagi) would like to announce it has concluded a distributor agreement with Silicon Mitus, Inc. (Head Office: Seoul, South Korea, CEO: Mr. Youm Huh) and starts to sell its power management ICs for use for LCDs (Liquid Crystal Displays).

Silicon Mitus, Inc. is a leading fab-less manufacturer of semiconductor devices, which has its head office in Seoul, South Korea. It is a young company established in February, 2007, but its management and main members have rich experiences in the field of power management ICs (“PMICs”).

Silicon Mitus’ PMICs are mixed signal ICs designed and produced by using the most advanced BCD (bipolar¡¤CMOS¡¤DMOS) process. Silicon Mitus is very strong in developing and producing application specific ICs which fully meet each customer company’s requirements, and these ICs are widely used for LCD TVs, Notebook PCs, Monitors, etc. It can produce and ship high-quality PMICs matching needs of each customer company based on a lot of Intellectual Property (IP) it has. Its experienced staff members provide totally tailored and detailed support from your designing stage to your system design stage. Silicon Mitus is focusing its efforts and resources on development and production of PMICs used in the following three fields.

• “Flat Panel Displays” which are installed in multiple sets with LED back-light. More than 70M sets are expected to be shipped across the world in 2010.
• “Mobile” which has grown to a market of about 5M units, including applications for smart phones, MP3, PMP and digital cameras.
• “Green Energy” which boasts a large market of 3 trillion yen even at the level of component materials and parts, including applications for LED back-light units, illumination, battery management and high power output management.

Its customer companies include such leading display makers in South Korea as Sam sung and LG.
