Sales Agent Agreement with Redstack Japan K.K. Starting Distribution of “Fuzor” – BIM Simulation Software for Flexibly and Easily Processing Large Data in Construction and Manufacturing Sectors
Rikei Corporation (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Tetsuo Kuroda) has announced a new sales agent agreement with Redstack Japan K.K. (Head Office: Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa, President & CEO: Masaru Aburatani) and started distribution of the BIM (Building Information Modeling) simulation software “Fuzor.”
BIM is a workflow that combines a building’s 3-dimentional digital model and its attribute data such as costs and administration information to generate a building database which enables sharing of information throughout a construction project from design to construction and maintenance phases. Recently, BIM has been recognized as an effective tool for improving productivity and reducing costs in both new building construction and building refurbishment projects. In Asian countries including Taiwan and Singapore, the government takes the initiative in BIM-based building certification application, which is rapidly gaining popularity. In Japan, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has decided on applying BIM for construction of public buildings. In future, BIM-based building construction and management is expected to be mandatory in the Japanese construction business.
This newly introduced “Fuzor” uses a game engine for generating 3D data to enable users to easily process large construction data. “Fuzor” supports interoperability with other BIM tools such as “Revit” and “Navisworks” provided by Autodesk, the world’s leading 3D design software development company. Using interoperability functions, users can easily reflect and share information when changing designs. In addition, users can perform different simulations using various valuation functions supported by “Fuzor.”
”Fuzor” Key Features
- Rich visualization functions enable users to perform various checks such as validation and interference of impact from weather, time or light sources
- Seamless interoperability with Autodesk’s BIM 3D software “Revit”
- Loading 3D CAD data from major products
- Data conversion of large construction data to “Fuzor” format data for reducing data size
- Simple operation and easy to learn
- Game engine used for data generation enables users to flexibly process large construction data that is difficult to handle in conventional CAD processing
- Avatars for providing human views for checking
- Easy presentation and design reviews on laptop PC, smart phone and tablet devices
