Rikei has become a certified reseller agent of Wainwright and starts to sell “Digitally Tunable Filter” for use of high-frequency signal measurement instrument
Rikei Corporation (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Satoru Isaka; hereafter “Rikei”) is pleased to announce that it has become a certified reseller agent of Wainwright Instruments GmbH (Head Office: Germany; Managing Director: Terence Wainwright; hereafter “Wainwright”) and start to sell “Digitally Tunable Filter” for use of high-frequency signal instrument.
Back ground
With further increasing of communication method and new allocation of frequencies, “Measurement of high-frequency signal”, “Simplifying high-frequency signal measurement”, and “Construction of environment that can immediately detect various high-frequency signals” are expected in the future. In a conventional method, it was necessary to prepare filters separately for each frequency for these purposes. However, “Digitally Tunable Filter” of Wainwright can simplify the procedure.
Outline
“Digitally Tunable Filter” is a component used in a RF / microwave circuit to pass (or to reject) desired high-frequency signal from a specific frequency band. In a conventional method, it was necessary to prepare filter suitable for each desired frequency. And also, it took time and effort since recalibration of input/output value is needed whenever filter was exchanged. However, with “Digitally Tunable Filter”, once input/output value is calibrated, it can correspond to multiple frequencies. Moreover, even if frequency to be operated is undecided, using high-frequency signal receiver incorporating “Digitally Tunable Filter” allow to apply to a tuner circuit.
“Digitally Tunable Filter” can be used by incorporating in a high-frequency circuit part of a device used in a base station including communication industry (Mobile Communication such as LTE, CDMA, and GSM, in addition to Wireless Connection such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth), and also can be used for a device in a base station of Satellite Navigation & Communication, for measurement use in broadcasting field, as well as calibration DUT of high-frequency signal measuring instrument.
Feature
・It is possible to pass(or block) a desired high-frequency signal from a specific frequency band in RF / microwave circuit by changing filter configuration from PC.
・Filter line-up is bandpass, band reject, and notch. Frequency band and filter characteristic can be customized according to the application.
Future Plan
Rikei plans to expand sales of “Digitally Tunable Filter” targeting 10 units in the first year and 30 units in the next fiscal year to the communication satellite market, to broadcast, satellite, and defense including our existing customer mobile communication satellite market.
