Rikei Begins Selling HP Sure Click Enterprise from HP Protecting the Endpoints of Enterprises Even from Advanced Cyberattacks

Rikei Corporation (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Satoru Isaka; hereinafter “Rikei”) is pleased to announce that it has signed a sales partnership agreement on HP Sure Click Enterprise, an endpoint* security solution from HP Japan Inc. (Head Office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Takafumi Oka) and it has begun to sell this solution.

*Endpoint: Collective term for terminals connected to a network, such as PCs and smartphones

Background of the market

COVID-19 has caused many enterprises to increase the number of employees that are teleworking. This has resulted in demand for the enhancement of security because teleworking involves using external networks, including those used privately at home, which increases the risk of a cyberattack. However, cyberattacks are growing more sophisticated every day, and it has become difficult to prevent them using conventional countermeasures.

Product overview

HP Sure Click Enterprise analyzes and defends against external threats and isolates and contains applications safely, using a concept completely different than conventional detection-based or defense-in-depth anti-malware products. Thus, the new product is able to strongly protect endpoint devices. The majority of endpoint infections are attributed to e-mail attachments. HP Sure Click Enterprise uses micro virtual machines (MicroVM) which create virtual isolated environments. It completely contains malware and infected e-mail attachments even if they are opened, enabling computers to stay completely safe.  Because the environment is isolated, malware will never be sent to other computers, servers, or devices via the network.

Received files, links, and Web browsers on computers and internal networks are isolated within the hardware space, where they are subject to advanced behavioral analysis using a wealth of historical threat information. In this way, HP Sure Click Enterprise identifies malicious activity that would be overlooked by other solutions, to more securely protect devices. It also alerts users to each attack in real time, providing enterprises with major features for the elimination of security threats.

Features

・Safe isolation of e-mail attachments using a MicroVM

・Security that features lower expenses and power consumption

・Real-time sharing of security threat information

・No need for a constant network connection

・Continuous protection

Future development

Rikei will sell this solution to its customers in all industries and sectors as a measure to protect against malware in e-mail attachments.
