Rikei Starts the Corporate Project with OCA Osaka College of Design and Technology, and Fukuoka College of Design and Technology
Supporting the Development Using Devices from Meta Platform Inc.
Rikei Corporation (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Satoru Isaka; hereinafter “Rikei,”) a Meta for Work partner, is pleased to announce that the company will participate in the Corporate Projects of the “Jikei COM Group Industry Collaboration Education” conducted by OCA Osaka College of Design and Technology (Address: Nishi ward, Osaka City; Principal: Masanori Shinozuka; hereinafter “OCA”) and Fukuoka College of Design and Technology (Address: Hakata ward, Fukuoka city; Principal: Toshitsugu Yoshinaga; hereinafter “Fukuoka TECH.)
About the “Corporate Project”
“The “Corporate Project” is an educational program in which students create works for an assignment given by a corporation using the same production process as those found in actual business settings. The program is designed to provide the perfect opportunity for students to learn the practical cutting-edge skills necessary to be ready for the workforce.
Goal of the Corporate Project
In the project, the students and Rikei will work together to develop an application that will provide a clear image of Meta Quest’s functions and utilization, looking ahead to the commercialization of the developed work.
Rikei, with its extensive experience in developing with Meta Quest devices and Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, will provide technical expertise for the students. Its curriculum includes training sessions on Unreal Engine conducted by Rikei’s Unreal Engine instructors.

Eligible participants: Students from OCA and Fukuoka TECH who have applied for the project
Assignment: Development of XR application enabling simulation in a virtual space using the Meta Quest or the Unreal Engine
Schedule: Starts in June 2024
Future Plan
After the presentation of the final results, the application developed in the project is planned to be expanded that can be demonstrated to the general public.Rikei will continue to actively cooperate in supporting student learning.
