(*1)medication sachet packaging system : The system individually packages medical tablets and powders prescribed to patients according to specified dosage and administration instructions. It is widely used in medical institutions, including pharmacies and hospitals.

Overview of the Medi-Assi

“Medi-Assi” is a SaaS solution designed to prevent medication errors and support the administration of medication in care facilities. Traditionally, caregivers have had to manually double-check that care receivers and their prescribed medications match. However, with this solution, such a complicated process can be easily managed using facial recognition technology. Information such as “care receiver ID,” “prescription instructions,” and “medication details” is pre-encoded into a QR code and printed on each medication sachet. Care receivers can then be quickly and accurately matched to their medications by simply scanning the QR code and verifying it with facial recognition. This allows for instantaneous checks, significantly reducing the risk of serious accidents, such as taking the wrong medication.

(*2)SaaS : Software as a Service. A service that allows software to be accessed and used over the Internet via the cloud.
(*3)medication sachets : Thin paper bags used to package tablets and powdered medicines in a medication sachet packaging system.

Features

Three-Step to match care receiver and medication
Matching the care receiver and medication can be completed quickly and easily with three simple steps:1. authenticate the caregiver’s face, 2. scan the QR code printed on the medication sachet, and 3. authenticate the care receivers’ face. All you need is a camera on a smartphone or a tablet device.

How to match care receivers and medications

Automatic medication recording
Medi-Assi enables caregivers to automatically track and record medication assistance actions, including who administered the medication, when, to whom, and what was given. This data can be transferred to caregiving records or integrated with other nursing care solutions

Automatic Integration with Prescription Data
The system automatically integrates facial recognition data with the prescription database used for medication sachet packaging, ensuring that the timing of medication administration is correct.

Future Development

We will widely expand the solution to various care facilities, including special nursing homes for the elderly, fee-based nursing homes with care services, health care facilities for the elderly requiring long-term care, and care facilities for persons with disabilities.
